PLANED features walk on BBC Radio Wales

PLANED was fortunate enough to be featured in a BBC Radio Wales programme last weekend when Chief Executive, Iwan Thomas, recorded a special podcast as part of the Country Focus show, aired on Sunday 9 November.

A Favourite Local Lockdown Walks campaign was initiated by PLANED earlier this year with the incentive to get people out and about in their local area. The campaign was highly successful with many locals sharing their own experiences via the PLANED’s social media channels whilst discovering the benefits of walking.

During the recent firebreak lockdown in Wales, Iwan recorded one of his favourite walks around the Towy Valley near the village of Porthrhyd, where he guided listeners around nature trails and cycle paths, meandering past the river towards the spectacular Botanical Gardens, picking up some wonderful ambient sounds along the way.

The programme episode which is hosted by Caroline Evans is entitled Balancing Game Shoots and Keep Walking and can be downloaded via the BBC iPlayer https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000p6rg
