Glastir Common Land Development Officer Vacancies

2 vacancies – Powys/South West Wales
Salary – £22,999 – £26,136 per annum
Applications are invited for two Common Land Development Officers to assist with the delivery of entry level support for applicants to Glastir, the Welsh Governments Sustainable Land Management Scheme, which is funded through the EU’s Rural Development Plan.
These posts are temporary ending 31/12/13 and will be overseen by two Local Action Groups, Cadwyn Clwyd (Powys) and PLANED (South West Wales). Officers will be home based and will be required to assist in facilitating entry into both the Glastir Entry and Common Land scheme.  We are looking for able, well-motivated, preferably bilingual communicators and negotiators with an awareness of farming/countryside matters and good administrative skills.

A sale occurs when a customer believes that the product or service you are selling has more inherent value for them than the money in their pocket. This is called your value proposition, but this notion of value has become much confused, if not abused, in recent marketing literature.

You see, lever number 10 of successful business growth says that, “Value is in the eye of the beholder.” So what is of value to one person may not be so to another. So the value you offer must be targeted at your specific target market. And therein lays the next problem. If your target market is everyone and their dog then paradoxically you actually reduce the perceived value of what you offer.

This evening session with Eric Sutherland will explore what a value proposition really is and how to give it some focus. You will leave with a value proposition for at least one product or service that you offer that you can immediately use in your business and the knowledge of how to create more.
