Rural Skills Resource

In conjunction with the Pembrokeshire Machinery Ring (PMR), PLANED is carrying out a pilot to develop a Rural Skills Resource.  The purpose of this is to match up the skills available in rural areas with the demand for such skills among local communities.  The aim is to support those in farming families to increase their earnings by registering the skills they can offer with the Rural Skills Resource.   The RSR, which aims to match up “Local Skills to meet Local Needs”  is being managed by the PMR which hosts the contact centre which people can phone when looking for those with jobs and skills such as hedge trimming, book keeping and vermin control; skills which are taken for granted in the farming community.  The price for each job is negotiated between the customer and the provider.
