Chief Executive Officer.

PLANED is a community-led partnership established as a social enterprise and charity and has 30 years’ experience of implementing integrated rural development through supporting enterprise, sustainable agriculture, tourism, heritage and environmental activities, through community engagement and participation.   It integrates and manages initiatives which address community well-being and resilience; digital inclusion and innovation; with cooperation and collaboration being at the heart of it.  With a secure five-year financial settlement PLANED leverages resources from central government, EU, local authority, lottery and other funding streams.  Increasingly restrained council spending, a growing localism agenda give PLANED exciting opportunities to develop new strategies to deliver programmes within Pembrokeshire and new markets further afield.

The Role

To develop and deliver a new strategic plan to exploit growth opportunities across Wales and further afield.  Reporting to a committed Board of Trustees.

Lead organisation in developing ‘one’ PLANED identity and continuous improvement culture.

Play lead role in business development exploiting new funding and other growth opportunities

Be an active Ambassador working with partners and all stake holders making PLANED the first point of call for community development.

The Person

Experienced executive with thorough grounding in General Management disciplines including finance, business development and stakeholder management.

Proven strategic thinker with a ‘can do’ attitude and a demonstrable track record in delivering change.   Understanding of third and public sector cultures are essential.

Articulate public communicator, able to inspire people within the business and stakeholders.  Welsh speaking an advantage but not a pre-requisite.

Demonstrable commitment to community activity.  An understanding of and sympathy for the unique challenges of rural communities particularly helpful

Chwarae rôl arweiniol mewn datblygu busnes gan ddefnyddio cyllid newydd a chyfleoedd twf eraill

Bod yn Llysgennad gweithredol yn gweithio gyda phartneriaid a’r holl randdeiliaid gan wneud PLANED yn fan cyswllt cyntaf ar gyfer datblygu cymunedol.

Yr Unigolyn

Gweithredwr profiadol gyda sylfaen drylwyr mewn disgyblaethau Rheoli Cyffredinol, gan gynnwys cyllid, datblygu busnes a rheoli rhanddeiliaid.

Meddylfryd strategol profedig gydag agwedd ‘gallu gwneud’ a hanes amlwg o gyflwyno newid. Mae dealltwriaeth o ddiwylliannau’r trydydd sector a’r sector cyhoeddus yn hanfodol.
